Easton Library Recital 11/20/21

Recital Guidelines:

Our Easton Library Recital will take place on Saturday, November 20th. The first Recital will start at 1:15pm. We will add additional recitals as necessary, depending on the number of students interested in performing.

Each recital can have a maximum of 8 participants. We ask that parents not bring siblings unless they are performing, and that only one adult accompany each child, so as to comply with Covid-19 restrictions regarding  room capacity.

Please stay in the car or in the parking lot until it is time for your recital group to enter the building.

Masks are required in the building at all times.

Proof of vaccination is required for this event for all adult visitors.

The deadline to sign up for the recital is November 10th. Please send  the information, including name and age of the student as well as the name of the composer/piece, to

We are asking all teachers to explain to their students the  importance of following current CDC guidelines and Easton Library regulations.

Participation in recitals gives our students a great opportunity to perform publicly in front of a friendly and welcoming audience.

Teachers who want their students to participate in the recitals, please keep in mind the following guidelines:

  • Pieces have to be memorized and well prepared.

  • There are no official time limits for teachers or students; however, please be considerate to your colleagues and do not send to one event ten participants with ten minutes of music each.

  •  (There is no registration fee this year as all recitals will be held online) The registration fee is $20 per student. Important: payment must be made in the form of one single check from the participating teacher Checks from individual parents will not be accepted.  Make checks out to “CSMTA Fairfield Chapter” and send them to the address of the event chairperson. (If needed, the chair can supply their address when you email them your students’ information.)

  • The participant information should always be e-mailed before the deadline and should include the following:

    1. name and age of student

    2. name of the piece and the composer

    3. exact length of each piece (crucial for programming)

Please note that no program changes can be accommodated after the deadline; however, we still request that you let us know if it turns out that your student cannot make the event. If you have any questions, please address them to the chair of that particular recital.
